📄 InnVenno IP Rights Disclaimer
1. Ownership of Input Data
All users retain full ownership of their original research, ideas, and intellectual property submitted to the InnVenno platform ("Input Data"). Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use and submit any content, including content partially owned by third parties, such as universities or research sponsors.
2. Generated Content and Business Models
Business models and other outputs ("Generated Content") created through the platform using artificial intelligence (including but not limited to OpenAI's services) are subject to the following ownership terms:
- Paid Members: You are granted a royalty-free license to use Generated Content for the purpose of building a venture under the InnVenno platform. If you choose to commercialize or develop the venture outside of InnVenno, all Generated Content will be jointly owned by you and InnVenno.
- Guest Users / Free Users: You must enter into a formal licensing agreement with InnVenno prior to any use of Generated Content. No rights to use the output are granted otherwise.
- Collaborative Projects: All outputs generated through collaborative input are 50% owned by InnVenno. The remaining 50% is split among co-contributors, subject to any existing IP obligations (e.g., university ownership policies).
3. Use Within Academic Institutions
Where the platform is used in a university or institutional setting, institutional IP policies will apply to the underlying Input Data. However, InnVenno will maintain joint ownership of all Generated Content created using the platform. University agreements will default to a 50% ownership model with InnVenno unless otherwise negotiated.
4. Use of Third-Party Tools
The platform uses third-party services, including OpenAI, for content generation. These services are governed by their own terms of use and IP rights policies, which may affect the legal status of Generated Content. InnVenno does not warrant that all Generated Content is free from third-party claims.
5. Data Storage and Retention
- Input Data is stored for up to 12 months for internal platform improvement purposes.
- Generated Content is retained indefinitely and may be used by InnVenno for training, analytics, benchmarking, or product enhancement.
By using the platform, you consent to such storage and use.
6. Jurisdiction
This disclaimer is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Where the platform is used outside the UK, InnVenno retains full rights to all Generated Content unless and until a joint IP ownership agreement is executed in writing with the user or their institution.
7. No Warranties
InnVenno makes no warranties as to the commercial viability, legal ownership, or originality of Generated Content. It is the responsibility of the user to conduct appropriate due diligence and, where necessary, seek legal or institutional advice before commercializing any ideas.
