1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy outlines in detail how InnVenno Ltd ("InnVenno", "we", "our", or "us") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit, browse, or interact with our digital services and web platform (collectively referred to as the "Platform"). These technologies enable us to offer you a more seamless, secure, and user-friendly experience. This document should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.

By continuing to use our Platform, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files that websites store on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit them. These files serve various functions, such as enabling core website operations, storing user preferences, and gathering analytics on how users interact with the site. Cookies can be classified based on their purpose and lifespan. While some cookies are essential to enable core functionalities like navigation and secure logins, others enhance your experience by remembering your choices and preferences.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

a) Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are vital to the basic operation of the Platform. Without them, certain services such as secure login, navigation, and user authentication would not function properly. These cookies do not require user consent.

Examples include:

  • Session-based login credentials
  • Single sign-on session tokens
  • Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection cookies
  • Authentication and access verification cookies
b) Functionality Cookies

Functionality cookies allow us to remember choices you've made on the Platform and tailor content to match your preferences. These improve usability and personalization without storing personally identifiable information.

Examples include:

  • Preferred language settings
  • Interface customizations (e.g. theme or layout)
  • User dashboard preferences
  • Recently viewed content or tools
c) Performance and Analytics Cookies

These cookies enable us to track user engagement and interaction with the Platform in a privacy-conscious and anonymous way. They help us understand what pages are popular, how users navigate the Platform, and whether any issues or bottlenecks exist. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) in line with applicable UK laws and regulations.

Important Details:

  • We do not activate ad personalisation or business insight tools within GA
  • The Google Ads Data Processing Terms were accepted by us on 15 May 2025
  • Google processes our data solely to operate and safeguard the analytics service
  • Features like IP anonymization, de-identification, and aggregate reporting are enabled to protect user privacy

We do not currently use behavioural targeting, retargeting, or any advertising cookies on the Platform.

d) Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies may be set by external services that we integrate into our Platform to deliver features or content. These cookies are managed independently by the respective third parties and subject to their own privacy and cookie policies.

Examples of third-party services include:

  • YouTube (for embedded video playback)
  • Eventbrite (for managing event registration)
  • Mighty Networks (used for our community and discussion forums)

4. Cookie Consent and Control

We are committed to transparency and respect your right to make informed choices about cookies. When you first access our Platform, you will be presented with a cookie banner requesting your consent for non-essential cookies. This includes performance and functionality cookies. These cookies will not be set unless you provide explicit opt-in consent.

You can manage or change your preferences at any time by:

  • Clicking on the cookie banner when you revisit the Platform
  • Going to your User Preferences page within your profile dashboard

We ensure that no non-essential cookies are placed on your device without your active consent.

5. Cookie Lifespan

Our cookie usage is designed to be minimally intrusive. The vast majority of our cookies are session-based, meaning they are deleted automatically when you close your browser. This approach prioritises privacy and reduces data retention.

The only exception is our persistent user preference cookie, which stores information like your language settings and cookie consent choices. This cookie may remain on your device for up to 12 months unless you manually delete it or update your preferences.

6. Managing Cookies

In addition to managing cookies through our Platform's interface, you can also control or delete cookies through your web browser settings. Each browser provides tools and documentation on how to manage cookies:

Please note: if you disable cookies entirely, some features and functionalities of the Platform may no longer operate as intended.

7. International Users

InnVenno operates in accordance with the data protection and cookie regulations of the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area (EEA). Users who access the Platform from outside these regions are considered subject to these same policies for the purposes of cookie compliance and consent. We do not provide differentiated cookie behaviour based on geographic origin and treat all users under a uniform policy approach.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may modify this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our technologies, legal requirements, or service offerings. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last Updated" date and post the revised version on our Platform. In cases where changes significantly impact your cookie settings or rights, we may also notify you via email or banner notification. We recommend reviewing this policy regularly to stay informed of our cookie practices.
